About Us

The Gault School is a center for innovative, interdisciplinary research archaeology focusing on the earliest peoples in the western hemisphere and their cultural antecedents.

 

The Gault School was organized to:

  • hold and manage property in Bell and Williamson Counties, Texas on which the Gault Archaeological Site is located.
  • conduct further scientific research on the Gault Site and materials recovered from the site.
  • foster, develop, research, promote, maintain, and encourage the education of the public about the Gault Site, archaeological work, outdoor education, and related themes.
  • research, develop and disseminate materials related to the above themes.
  • foster collaboration with universities and organizations with common interests.
