The Gault archaeological complex, located in Central Texas, is one of the most important and extensive sites in North America. Join author Mary S. Black, for a talk on her book Secrets in the Dirt which explores recent discoveries at the site that suggest that Texas has been a good place for people to live for as many as 20,000 years. After the talk, see Gault artifacts in Becoming Texas, on view at the Bullock Museum. Dr. Clark Wernecke from the the Gault School of Archaeological Research will also be there to answer questions.
