These small fish with big eyes congregate where a spring enters Buttermilk Creek. The photo below is for detail, and as always,the fish survived the ordeal just fine.


Green sunfish

A dweller of the small pond, these are sometimes unfortunate victims of the screening pump. They are one of the more colorful sunfish, and their large mouth is characteristic of the species.


Mosquitofish

As the name suggests, these small fish help keep the mosquito population at Gault in check by eating the mosquito larvae.
