News Release: Major Summerlee Foundation Grant is Awarded to the Gault School!
The Gault School of Archaeological Research (GSAR) is excited to announce that we have received a $100,000 matching grant from the Summerlee Foundation. GSAR is a non-profit organization that maintains three program pillars: Education, Research, and Conservation. The Summerlee Foundation’s grant will support our efforts to enrich Texas communities through different forms of educational outreach targeting K-12 and adult learners, both within classrooms and at our outdoor education space at the Gault Site, one of the most important archaeological sites in North America. In addition to education, the Gault School uses archaeological research to help promote site and land conservation, while also developing a better understanding of and appreciation for the past.
